| Welcome to the Netherlands |
|
Travelling is in our blood. Many Biblical stories speak of travel and being on the road. Travelling provides the opportunity for personal growth and to learn about new things, such as the Dutch Mennonites (doopsgezinden) in the Netherlands. Here in the Netherlands, you can acquaint yourself with the inspirational source of the Dutch Mennonite church, Menno Simons and his 'descendants'. Menno Simons was the first and only radical reformer to have been born on Dutch soil. His life and work are reflected in the beautiful Mennonite Fellowship Centres, the unique church buildings, and in historical towns such as Pingjum and Witmarsum, the birthplace of Menno Simons. |
